There Is an Anointing to Deliver

One of the great passages in the New Testament is when Jesus comes to Nazareth and reads from Isaiah 61:1-2 saying, "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, to preach the acceptable year of the Lord." This is found in Luke 4:18-19. This verse reveals that the Lord is a God of deliverance and wants to see people delivered.

Jesus had an anointing to deliver people from sin, from broken hearts, from physical ailments, and to give us liberty from the wounds of life. The good news is: that anointing exists today in the Church. On the day of Pentecost, when the Church was born, that anointing was put upon the Church. Jesus is the head of the Church, and we are the body. If we stay connected to the head, the anointing which is on the head will flow down to the body.

Remember that Jesus said that if we believe on Him, we would do the same works that he did and greater works (John 14:12). Jesus has placed this anointing upon the Church so that the Kingdom of God can be manifested in the earth.

Let's believe in the anointing, let's seek the anointing, and let's stay connected to Jesus the head, so that the anointing will flow. There is a world that needs the anointing that Jesus has given to the Church to deliver.
