The Kingdom of God

Most of us can quote the verse, "For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost" (Romans 14:17). And we know that a man must be born of the water and Spirit to enter the kingdom of God (John 3:5). But do we realize that when we received the baptism of the Holy Ghost, the kingdom of God was established in us?

Jesus made the statement, "But if I with the finger of God cast out devils, no doubt the kingdom of God is come upon you" (Luke 11:20). What Jesus was saying is that when the kingdom fo God is present, the kingdom of Satan can't stay. Jesus was also declaring that the kingdom of God is not just words, but also power (I Corinthians 4:20).

God has given us the Holy Ghost so that the kingdom of God can be manifest in the world. There are two ways or phrases to that manifestation. 1) The kingdom of God must be manifest in our personal lives. We must let the kingdom have control within us. 2) When the kingdom of God has control in our lives, it starts to be manifested through us into the world around us.

The life of Jesus was all about manifesting the kingdom of God in the world. The blind receive their sight, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them (Matthew 11:5).

So many of the battles we fight are because we do have the kingdom of God in our lives, and the devil does not want the kingdom of God to be manifested. Don't let the devil stop the manifestation of the kingdom of God. The Bible tells us the world is waiting for the mainfestation of the sons of God, which means the kingdom of God (Romans 8:19-20). Let's work to let the kingdom be manifested.
