Keep Praying for Revival

The Lord has promised in HIs Word that "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land" (II Chronicles 7:14). This is a promise of revival. The healing that our country needs today is a revival and a return to the Lord.

Those that are baptized in Jesus' name are called by His name. If we will humble ourselves, pray, seek the Lord's face, and turn from our wicked ways, the Lord will hear and bring revival. Being baptized in Jesus' name gives us access to the Lord in a way that others do not have.

The Lord said that he would pour out His Spirit on all flesh in the last days (Joel 2:28). We are living in the last days, and the Lord is making His Spirit available to all people; however, I believe we need to ask the lord to manifest the pouring out of His Spirit.

We need to continue to pray for revival: revival in our church, revival in our towns, revival in our state, revival in New England, revival in our country. Praying for revival is part of the mission of the church. The Word of God states that we are a royal priesthood that should show forth the praises of Him who called us out of darkness into His marvelous light (1 Peter 2:9).

One part of being a priest is being a mediator. A priest mediates between God and another person. We function in the role of a priest-mediator when we pray for the lost and ask the Lord for a revival. Our prayers can cause the Lord to shine light into the lives of those that are blinded by Satan and open their eyes (II Corinthians 4:3-4). Let's keep praying for revival!
